Signet ring cell carcinoma (SRCC) is a rare form of highly malignant adenocarcinoma. SRCC tumours grow in characteristic sheets, which makes diagnosis using standard imaging techniques, like Computerized Tomography (CT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans, less effective. This artwork highlights the importance and continual need of the simpler staining and microscopy techniques developed by medical science years ago.
